The idea of Quilter came from the image of barn quilts. Barn quilts started with Donna Sue Groves in 2001, as a gift to her mother and then quickly spread across the midwest. Each quilt is unique, filled with patterns and colors, as is each family of the barn they reside on. This piece combines the history and geometry of the typical barn quilt, with the industrialism of steal, and after some time rust. Like times effect on ones family, the effect of time is yet to be discovered.
